2 Reasons Why 'Suits' Spinoff Has Fans Buzzing

A person who can impersonate someone else is endlessly attractive. We tell conman and spy stories for that reason. The USA series Suits is also popular for this reason.

The high-stakes legal thriller was created by Aaron Korsh (Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Me). It debuted on June 23, 2011, and had 134 episodes over nine seasons.

Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout with a photographic memory and extensive legal knowledge, is the protagonist. Mike works alongside attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) in a New York City law office.

Mike and Harvey were a legal dynamic combo on the east coast, but some may ask what was occurring across the country. An upcoming spinoff will settle those questions, rumors say.

Universal International Studios president Beatrice Springborn said the spinoff series will be set in Los Angeles at the same time period as the original (via Variety).

Springborn called the show Suits L.A. at the event, but it's unclear if it's real. If so, expect the title to change before the first episode airs, possibly sooner than expected. Springborn said the show is in production.
